That looks expensive.  That looks expensive.

Turkish Airbus stopped short of its slot and left its butt hanging out in the taxiway. Still, I wonder why the Asiana 777 driver didn’t notice it.

Never get out of the boat Never get out of the boat

A family visiting a safari park in the Netherlands thought it would be a good idea to get out of their car with a bunch of cheetahs nearby.

Driving the Risky Roads of Iraq Driving the Risky Roads of Iraq

This is an excellent 10-minute primer on the convoluted situation in Syria and Iraq. A BBC journalist travels across Iraq, and finds Iranian influence, ISIS, and sectarian strife.

...that my boys like to eat ramen without cooking it first? They put it on a plate, sprinkle the fake chicken/salt flavor packet on it, then just take bites off of the brick. I don’t get it.

Long Drive: What to do? Long Drive: What to do?

We’re planning our return trip from Hot Springs, SD to Austin. It will be over three days, with stops in Denver and Amarillo. Does anybody have any suggestions for quick things to do along the way? No more than an hour or so? Or even just a place to pull over for a view or a good meal?

My family is jetting into CLT in July to see the Dortmund v. Liverpool match at BoA Stadium. We will have a full day free before we return, and we are likely going to rent a car. Any suggestions on where to stay, info about parking at BoA, or what to do with a free day?

There’s a lot to like in this photo. That’s a Sud Aviation Caravelle I of SAS on the tarmac at the Bromma Airport near Stockholm in 1961. And that looks like a Convair 440 in the background, and perhaps another on the right. But the SAS splitty with the luggage rack steals my heart.
