A green British car by a British manufacturer that’s NOT British Racing Green?!?
Found the Chevy at Target. I hadn’t seen it on the pegs before but it won me over in person. I also saw the Econoline but just couldn’t convince myself to do it. Just.. no.
So SN210/Scott has a Lamborghini Murcielago from Maisto. Well so do I.
Finally I bought my first 1:18 Diecast car. I say “1 or 2 1:18 is enough for me” because I have a 1:24 collection but my friends say it is not possible. They said 1:18 had an addictive effect. 😅 What do you think about this?
The car that never stops. Because there are no brake rotors!
This is Dan, I’ve been out of town on business, so I fell behind and I’ve now published “And Tubbed” featuring Bradley Brownell from Cammed and Tubbed, as well as Jalopnik.
This whole Live and Let Diecast Podcast thing has found me searching the boxes from our move, I was going to say recent, but that’s a lie, from Colorado to Maryland. Today I found this gem.
I had this great idea for today’s shoot all planned out. And then I ran out of time in the day. I’m not particularly happy with these pics, but better this than nothing, right?
Today’s selection comes by way of a model I haven’t shared yet. I recently acquired this Maisto 1/18 2000 Cadillac DeVille DTS in Galaxy Silver Metallic from Frosted the Boxy Car Guy on Oppo, so special thanks to him (and BlueMazda2 because without him I would have never known).
The weather around here hasn’t cooperated at all this week, so I had to dig back in the archives for a nicely shot blue car. I guess this’ll do...
Car Week. When everyone breaks out their nicest cars and shoot some amazing photos with them. Well I don’t really have any high-end stuff to shoot, but Maisto really stepped up their 1/18 game. And this Audi R8 by far exceeded my expectations. So this is my pick for red day. Enjoy!
January seemed to be the time when LaLD’s finest seemed to be on a spring cleaning spree. And I capitalized, gleefully!
What happens when, at the height of the ‘90s super car craze, one of the world’s top automakers decides it wants to not only build a spiritual successor to a racing legend but also make it the fastest car in the world? The GT90 happens.
A blood sacrifice (metal sacrifice) was made in the name of greater prosperity. One model must die so that others may live. And I had some sparklers and Roman candles so what better way to use it than to start a bonfire?
Shout out to PC! This model is mega raaaaad!
Midway through the week and still surviving. Two more days to go.
Last year, Forza released the Lamborghini Centenario. A gorgeous model compared to the recent release of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. What an utter fail. The model looks pretty good...except there some flaws. Theres not alot of details in the interior compared to the Lambo. The Lamborghini had carbon fibre looking detail…
Also feedback would be great! And let me know which font yall like 😃
I went to Walmart and Goodwill yesterday. Wally had like eight new C cases but no Supers in sight. Then I went to Goodwill not expecting to find anything and there they were: two massive bags of diecast for $3 each. These would’ve probably been taken to the back and put on their ebay store had I not gotten to them…
I teased it for a week, but here it is finally! My new (to me) 1/18 1993 McLaren F1 road car by Maisto. I don’t get to dip in to the 1/18 scale too often given their typical high price and size contrasting my current lack of storage/display space and diecast budget. But the bug bit me a few weeks back while on…
