I heard there was a race being organized soon. Priuses (Prii?), Volts, Insights all battling it out. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any examples of one of these cars to compete with. I searched everywhere for one.
A little photo gallery of my Tesla GT2-Am. I’m sending it out to Uly tomorrow.
This is the first call for all LaLD members that are going to compete in the 1st LaLD GP!
So, I guess I just got randomly inspired and built this car over about a few days of occasional work. It’s the new Golf Gti from euro style. The cast was left robbed of its wheels and had some terrible casting issues. 60% of the rear window was covered with thin metal from the cast leaking. All of the other widows had…
Just needs a wheelswap and a clearcoat. Other than that, it’s pretty much done. I feel like it’s kinda cheating to use the splitter and spoiler already on the casting as my “racing bits” but this casting isn’t a very friendly one for racing add-ons.
I’ve finally finished my gt2! This car you see here is a HW Time Attaxi (Uly said I could use it ‘cuz it was real enough) spray painted metallic purple. I made custom stickers for it and was going to put a wing on it but glue got everywhere (hence the paint imperfections on the trunk.
Welcome LaLD race fans! The time for the first LaLD GP is a ticking. Updates here after the jump.
Soooo... Yeah. While everyone was working on their Superfly entries. I was consumed with inspiration to work on my LaLD GT3 Entry. I just couldn’t get inspired to work on anything for Superfly. But, customize a prius? Oh hell yeah!
Still decidingon which aeropackage and wheel options to go with. Also, please pardon the messy workbench, lol. I’ve been working on reorganizing the garage.
My GT3 Volt is complete! With Patto’s Place decals, the cartoonish electric motor deleted, and a front splitter in place. It’s ready for competition!
I got started on my LaLD GPcars today so I figured I would go ahead and throw some pictures up. I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to do the numbers and lettering on the car. The more I look at my progress the less I like the chrome on the bumpers so that may
Finally finished this. Some of my paint ran an bit and my decals smudged a little, but I’m happy with it. Once the LaLD GP happens, this will be my GT2 AM entry. By then, it’ll have a tonneau cover and a small ducktail spoiler to be completely rules-legal. Enjoy!

Ugh! I am not happy with this car at all!!! I pretty much gave up halfway and just did a cruddy paint job to get it over with so I can stop wasting my time on this. I don’t even want it in my sights. What made me give up half way was the putty and paint combo. I guess the chemistry of the two caused the paint not to…
So, a few days ago fellow member Wheelerguy pointed out to me EL_ULY’s GT3 contest. I was hooked right away and wanted to make a GT3 car.
